<br />
Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hutN2KMC28k/VigUlVJAvZI/AAAAAAAAOVA/35S0zEXiw48/s1600/IMG_1666.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="530" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hutN2KMC28k/VigUlVJAvZI/AAAAAAAAOVA/35S0zEXiw48/s640/IMG_1666.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Today, October 21th 2015, Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown travelled to the future, so it's a special day for us "<a href="http://www.backtothefuture.com/">Back to the Future</a>" - fans, and I want to show you <b><a href="http://www.pretty-serious.com/">Pretty Serious</a> "88MPH"</b>. I'm going to celebrate now, so I'll add more photos tomorrow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MowPPFtIqs8/ViluNkOxNDI/AAAAAAAAOXo/rNG4dfhYZnQ/s1600/IMG_1660.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MowPPFtIqs8/ViluNkOxNDI/AAAAAAAAOXo/rNG4dfhYZnQ/s640/IMG_1660.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I bought this nail polish only because of the name and because it was inspired by the DeLorean car that Doc builds into a time machine in the Back to the Future trilogy. It's from Pretty Serious, and it's called 88MPH. I had decided not to buy any textured polishes. But I love the polish. And it's definitely easier to wear than my Marty McFly cap...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JrPGtdG35Tw/ViluY_SmYmI/AAAAAAAAOYI/QXOWM4rM_GQ/s1600/IMG_2524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JrPGtdG35Tw/ViluY_SmYmI/AAAAAAAAOYI/QXOWM4rM_GQ/s640/IMG_2524.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I brought it with me last night... but didn't dare to wear it... It really is a holographic cap. The color changes all the time, like the glitter in the polish.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
88MPH is about 141,6 km/h. That's the speed they needed to make the car work as a time machine.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Here are some quotes from <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088763/?ref_=nv_sr_1">the first Back to the Future movie</a> (from IMDB):</span><br />
<br />
<i>Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?</i><br />
<i>Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>A little later:</i><br />
<i>Dr. Emmett Brown: If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit.</i><br />
<br />

<br /></div>
End of the first movie:<br />
<i>Marty McFly: Hey, Doc, we better back up. We don't have enough road to get up to 88.</i><br />
<i>Dr. Emmett Brown: Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.</i><br />

<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b>
<b><span style="font-size: large;">About the nail polish:</span></b><br />
<b><br /></b>
So this is my first textured nail polish, and the first time my friends have asked if they can touch my nails. Lol! But I'm glad I bought it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif9fiNMJc7dRVUZ_jgmf0lJn-VD5Y4d_hJMOW0O9Pq9UC3LzNg5-SdbAiqHHGV66DTnrjHCKPJaOsTFRxCW_wzu09ewRLHIleWaelPTNk-XsqxJ9oFugEP3rYTMu-SAp64IdjEj5bK4HAT/s1600/IMG_2662.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif9fiNMJc7dRVUZ_jgmf0lJn-VD5Y4d_hJMOW0O9Pq9UC3LzNg5-SdbAiqHHGV66DTnrjHCKPJaOsTFRxCW_wzu09ewRLHIleWaelPTNk-XsqxJ9oFugEP3rYTMu-SAp64IdjEj5bK4HAT/s640/IMG_2662.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
88 MPH is the second polish I show you from Pretty Serious' "Hit the Road" collection. A famous car inspired collection. As I wrote in the <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2013/08/pretty-serious-hell-on-wheels-from-my.html">Hell On Wheels</a> post, Pretty Serious is 3- free, vegan and cruelty- free. I'm not sure how to describe this polish. It's a textured, shiny, metallic with tiny holographic glitter. I expected the color to be like aluminum, like the car, but it's more like a silvery bronze. Or what do you think? But after seeing the first movie again, I was reminded that the car was covered by frost, and rebuilt, so the holo glitter and the way it looks makes sence. As you see on my nail length, I've been wearing it several times. The long nails are two coats, no top coat. And the shortest are with top coat, although it hardly shows on the photos. It took 2 coats of Pochè and 1 coat of Seche Vite to make a smooth surface.<br />

<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">More about the movies:</span></b><br />
<b><br /></b>
My favourite scenes from the triology are when Marty wakes up, and every time he thinks he has had a horrible nightmare. Every time he hears his mother's voice, telling him that he is safe and sound, back in ... 1955, at the McFly farm, and so on... And Marty understands where and when he is.<br />
<br />
Here are two clips from the first movie:<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/uJ_R6pRougo" width="420"></iframe>
<br />
<br />
Here is the text from the first YouTube scene (copied from IMDB), for those of you who want to translate it:<br />
<br />
<i>[Marty wakes up in Lorraine's bed]</i><br />
<i>Marty McFly: Mom. That you?</i><br />
<i>Lorraine Baines: There, there, now. Just relax.</i><br />
<i>[pats a damp cloth on Marty's forehead]</i><br />
<i>Lorraine Baines: You've been asleep for almost nine hours now.</i><br />
<i>Marty McFly: I had a horrible nightmare. I dreamed that I went... back in time. It was terrible.</i><br />
<i>Lorraine Baines: Well, you're safe and sound now, back in good old 1955.</i><br />
<i>Marty McFly: [opens his eyes wide] 1955?</i><br />
<br />
I laugh every time Marty wakes up in the movies. Lol.<br />
<br />
<i>Marty McFly: Calvin? Wh... Why do you keep calling me Calvin?</i><br />
<i>Lorraine Baines: Well, that is your name, isn't it? Calvin Klein? It's written all over your underwear.</i><br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
If I knew you all had seen these Back to the Future movies, I would have showed you more clips, and told you more. If you haven't seen them, I hope you do, and that you'll enjoy them as much as I do. I would recommend to see them all on one weekend, or over three days or something, so that you remember the details. Because that's one of the things that's so fantastic in these movies. And you will see the same scene from different angles, depending on who's perspective we view it from, and also the same place at different times. I also love to see the same actors in the different eras, so it's sad that the actress who plays Marty's girlfriend and the actor who plays his father couldn't be in the second and third movie. But it's amazing to see the actors we first meet as Marty, Biff and Lorraine in the different eras. I could go on talking about these movies for days...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9d-LgyPrebs/VilqXrbpZKI/AAAAAAAAOXE/cRttoilexpo/s1600/IMG_2630.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9d-LgyPrebs/VilqXrbpZKI/AAAAAAAAOXE/cRttoilexpo/s640/IMG_2630.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>

What do you think about this polish? And what do you think of the movie(s)?<br />

<br />
<br />
I've been a fan of Back to The Future for a long time, and now I'm a fan of Pretty Serious too. I've tried a few of their polishes, and love them all, although I haven't showed them on the blog yet. You've already seen the red Hell on Wheels that I won in Norway Nails giveaway. I also love the purple "Into Dreams" and "Lacy Underthings".<br />
<br />
If you want to buy the cap and the photos, try eBay.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
I've been thinking about installing CommentLuv for a long time. And now, after a lot of help, it should be installed. If it works, it will allow you to comment together with a backlink to your latest blogpost. If I've done everything correctly, it should work for this and future blog posts.<br />
<br />
If you are on Blogger and want to do it too, here is the "How to" link I used: http://www.iftiseo.com/2014/01/how-to-add-commentluv-on-blogger-blog.html<br />
<br />
Thank you <a href="http://thekarend.blogspot.no/">KarenD/ Frazzle and Aniploish</a> for answering my question and giving me the link! ♥<br />

I'm wearing <b><span style="font-size: large;">Ellagee "Lady Penguinia"</span></b> this year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zEjhRnbo_qg/VT1waRHQXmI/AAAAAAAAN8k/I2VhpPI-XKA/s1600/IMG_8040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zEjhRnbo_qg/VT1waRHQXmI/AAAAAAAAN8k/I2VhpPI-XKA/s1600/IMG_8040.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The polish came with a little bag of silver holographic penguin and seashell glitter. Each glitter is very soft and thin and easy to use. Lady Penguinia is a Norway Nails exclusive. I used 2 coats here, and one coat of HK Girl top coat under and over the glitter.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I started my day watching a solar eclipse, so why shouldn't my nails be smiling? I only wish I were further north! Did you see it too? If you're not smiling, do something nice for yourself, and turn to happy! :-)☺:-D<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6H4eX_tIE80/VQygt-kFUyI/AAAAAAAAN40/myKyLWEq1jE/s1600/IMG_7820.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6H4eX_tIE80/VQygt-kFUyI/AAAAAAAAN40/myKyLWEq1jE/s1600/IMG_7820.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I started with white nails, and stamped the smileys with Bundle Monster BM-304 and Mundo de Uñas #2 Black, and my new Creative Shop stamper that worked from the start.<br />
<br />
I used the leadlight technique and lots of sheer polish. I finally bought some polishes for leadlighting. What I didn't think about was that the different polishes didn't have the same pigmentation. So I had to apply two coats of some colors or mix some of the colors. It might have looked better if I only used one brand...<br />
<br />
Sheer polish used:<br />
<br />
Ellagee: Cadium Glass - yellow<br />
El Corazon, Aquarelle tints: #07 - red<br />
Dance Legend, top coat aquarelle collection: Chagall - purple<br />
Dance Legend, top coat aquarelle collection: Levitan - green<br />
Nailstation: Whisper - orange with orange glitter<br />
<a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2012/07/jelly-sandwich-day-polish-days-july.html">OPI: Houston We Have a Purple</a> -blue toned red<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_raTqujKeNo/VQ2LKTaD6dI/AAAAAAAAN6I/u3C-OMyMJx0/s1600/IMG_7831.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_raTqujKeNo/VQ2LKTaD6dI/AAAAAAAAN6I/u3C-OMyMJx0/s1600/IMG_7831.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The OPI, the green and the purple were very pigmented. The yellow was as I expected, but I needed two coats. In comparison the other two looked more pastel, even after 2 coats.<br />
<br />
Levitan makes me think about the movie <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2802154/?ref_=ttmd_md_nm">Leviathan</a>. Have you seen it? It kind of made me feel that there's no point fighting for something...<br />
<br />
I've not been very active here and on G+, twitter and facebook lately, but I'm trying to share photos on Instagram. If you are on Instagram, I would love to follow you. I'm <a href="https://instagram.com/nailphotosbylani/">nailphotosbylani</a>. If I don't already follow you, please write your IG name in the comments section.<br />
<br />
Can you tell that the photos of the plate are inspired by the solar eclipse? LOL!<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
Happy polishing!<br />

<br />
<br />
I made this neon pink lovebird mani today. I stamped the black images on and added three rhinestone hearts. I used a marshmallow stamper to shrink the image on my index finger. I used a Konad stamper and added more black with a brush on the ring finger. On my screen this looks a little orange, but I hope it looks pink on yours.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Products used:</span><br />
<br />
Ruby Kisses: RHDP01 Hot Pink Obsession (neon pink)<br />
<a href="http://www.moyou.co.uk/image-plates/tropical-collection.html">MoYou London: Tropical Collection 06</a> (lovebirds, hearts)<br />
MoYou London: <a href="http://www.moyou.co.uk/image-plates/explorer-collection.html?p=2">Explorer Collection</a> 23 (flying bird)<br />
MoYou London: Heartshaped rhinestones<br />
Mundo de Uñas: 2 Black (stamping polish)<br />
XL marshmallow stamper (shrinking)<br />
<a href="http://en.konad.co.kr/">Konad</a> stamper<br />
<br />
The MoYou plates are available in this size and XL size. So remember to measure your nails before buying them.<br />
<br />
I really like these bird images, but I wish they were smaller. Luckily I can use this image, but on Tropical 06 most of the images of the birds are to wide for my small nails, and it was difficult to shrink an image without distorting it. (This is not a problem for most of you, because most of you have bigger nails than me.)<br />
<br />
But if you are reading MoYou, please make the important part of each image small, and if you add a leaf or something, please include the whole leaf, and keep everything very detailed. That way it's easier for both us with small nails and those with bigger nailbeds to use each image successfully.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I had planned to make a Groundhog day mani, but let's hope I'll do that next year... Did you see the movie? It's very romantic, so it would be perfect for a V- day mani.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v0IkYYsTbQ8/VLMUxptU0LI/AAAAAAAANrU/XT-HKAbcG38/s1600/NPL%2BDaisies.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v0IkYYsTbQ8/VLMUxptU0LI/AAAAAAAANrU/XT-HKAbcG38/s1600/NPL%2BDaisies.jpg" height="400" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I had fun with color changing polish again. This time it was <a href="http://rubywing.com/eternal">Ruby Wing: Eternal</a>, which is made with SolarActive® Technology. It looks turquoise in the shade/ inside and outside/ in the sun it looks dark green- grey. What surprised me, is that the white stamped flowers also changed from white to light pink. I bought Eternal and <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/11/31nails2014-9-ombre-30-new-technique.html">Crowd Surf </a>in May 2013. They are both from the 2013 Summer Collection, and are still available and cruelty- free (<a href="http://www.leapingbunny.org/nail.php">source</a> (look for Forsythe Cosmetic Group)).<br />
<br />
<br />
I made this in June 2014 when the theme was "Daisies" in the G+ group Nail Polish Lovers. It was too difficult to paint them, and this image was the closest I could find. Two plates from MoYou London's Pro collection have this image: 08 (regular size) and 10 (XL). I don't remember, but I think I used the biggest here. To fix some flowers, I added a little white. And I think that's why the color of the flowers looks uneven in the sun. But now that I've learned that, I'll make sure that the stamping is good next time.<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm very far behind with my blogging, so I still haven't even showd you all the nail art from 2014, and the polish I was wearing in 2013... not to mention the haul posts the last two years... <br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wfeSSlAmS-0/VK2mHdmomfI/AAAAAAAANhk/nd9GA-6wBoY/s1600/IMG_6382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wfeSSlAmS-0/VK2mHdmomfI/AAAAAAAANhk/nd9GA-6wBoY/s1600/IMG_6382.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">with top coat</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
I've enjoyed reading many "favorite polish lists" this week. So I started writing one too, but realized that I hadn't even showed them to you... well you have seen a few of them...<br />
<br />
That's why you're looking at <span style="font-size: large;"><i>Nire's Desire: Prana </i></span>today! :-)<br />
<br />
It's one of my top 10 favorite polishes from 2014. It's a multichrome that looks red, purple and blue at the same time. It shifts to a more red or purple/blue. It doesn't have a chrome finish like the ILNP's. It's more like a shimmer. And I like that it doesn't have any holo sparkles. It's a part of The Yoga Trio Collection. It is not tested on animals and Big 5 Free.<br />
<br />
<br />
My photos were taken in December, so they may look a little too pale because of the winter daylight. Sadly the sun wasn't shining.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
2 photos without top coat:<br />
<br />

<br />
<a href="https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/NiresDesirePolish">Nire's Desire Polish</a> is a US indie brand, and can be bought on <a href="https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/NiresDesirePolish">Etsy</a>.<br />
<br />
She was very kind and gave me Nire's Desire's top coat with the cool name "The Shining". Have you seen the movie?<br />
<br />
Prana was shiny on it's own, but when I applied The Shining, I felt that the polish came to life. I also felt that the red became more visible. But I don't think it's as fast drying as Seche Vite.<br />

Prana is similar to <i>Crows Toes: Indian Summer</i>, but I think Prana is more red, and Indian Summer more blue. The Crumpet has made a good<a href="http://www.the-crumpet.com/2014/11/nires-desire-prana-v-crows-toes-indian.html"> comparison</a>.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DMz2YcZ2lTY/VKGANK-n-VI/AAAAAAAANdE/owZHkvLPcUA/s1600/IMG_6012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DMz2YcZ2lTY/VKGANK-n-VI/AAAAAAAANdE/owZHkvLPcUA/s1600/IMG_6012.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year celebration! We visited someone who's neighbour sent up a lot of fireworks. Needless to say, we had a very good view from the window, but it was scarily close. And after midnight three deer ran through the garden!!! ♥ First a big one (a male?), and later two smaller (females?). So for me it was an unforgettable start of the new year. It wasn't that fun for the terrified deer though...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I made this skittlette a few months ago to show you these <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/water-decals-c-268_67_157.html">water decals</a> that <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a> gave me:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZF-fg6Sxio4/VKGAIq1CW2I/AAAAAAAANc0/KJrUVgU-UVg/s1600/IMG_1461.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZF-fg6Sxio4/VKGAIq1CW2I/AAAAAAAANc0/KJrUVgU-UVg/s1600/IMG_1461.JPG" height="640" width="442" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
For a direct link to the water decals, click <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/pretty-nail-water-decals-beautiful-flower-printed-p-9183.html">here</a>. If you want to buy something from Born Pretty Store, feel free to use my coupon code: NPBL10K31 to get a 10% discount.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I also wanted to try 3 new polishes:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x2pLJwl6DSc/VKGAOfZEuuI/AAAAAAAANdU/7DX6mNbQIes/s1600/IMG_6568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x2pLJwl6DSc/VKGAOfZEuuI/AAAAAAAANdU/7DX6mNbQIes/s1600/IMG_6568.JPG" height="580" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<a href="http://www.deborahlippmann.com/">Deborah Lippmann</a>: 12th Street Rag<br />
<a href="http://www.misacosmetics.com/">Misa</a>: Kiss the Bride<br />
Lynnderella: Ten Pipers Pinking<br />
<br />
<br />
Deborah Lippmann and Misa are cruelty - free. Misa is also vegan (<a href="http://www.misacosmetics.com/faq">source</a>). I can't find any information about Lynderella regarding animaltesting. (I thought I'd checked that before buying it...) Lynderella can be bought from NorwayNails.com and GlitterConnect.bigcartel.com.<br />
<br />
<br />
Before adding the water decals:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e4j5VWh30c4/VKGAMlKzN0I/AAAAAAAANc8/vLioNPjZqtQ/s1600/IMG_5996.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e4j5VWh30c4/VKGAMlKzN0I/AAAAAAAANc8/vLioNPjZqtQ/s1600/IMG_5996.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><span style="font-size: large;">What I did:</span></b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Thumb and pinkie:</span> My first (and then) only <i><b>Lynnderella</b></i>. This is<i> <b>Ten Pipers Pinking</b></i>. A pink microglitter with holographic glitter - 2 coats + 2 coats of Poshè<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Index finger: </span><b><i>Deborah Lippmann: 12th Street Rag</i> </b>- a pink metallic - one coat without top coat<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Ring and middle finger:</span><br />
<i><b>Misa: Kiss the Bride</b></i> - a classic white creme polish - 3 coats. When I had nearly finished painting a nail, I kept getting too much on the brush, and later ruined it when I thought it was dry. After a lot of frustration, I learned to use 3 thin layers.<br />
<i><b>Water decals from Born Pretty Store</b></i>. Sadly I applied one of them without using top coat first... So I had to redo the ring finger a forth time... and then I didn't have time for that, so don't look too closely on the not so perfect white nails. The water decals are perfect, it's my fault.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8KATrQcYmEM/VKGAN8it3YI/AAAAAAAANdM/446Hcg_024E/s1600/IMG_6015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8KATrQcYmEM/VKGAN8it3YI/AAAAAAAANdM/446Hcg_024E/s1600/IMG_6015.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The first time I tried these water decals, I wanted to make a mani with a pink- grey gradient as background. But I found out that the decals have a little white on them, so I decided to make <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/10/52-week-pick-n-mix-challenge-grey.html">something else</a>. So now I always do a little test before I start brainstorming about what could work together with the water decals:<br />
<br />
I just cut out a piece, hold it with tweezers in a glass of warm water, slide it over to my wet finger, take a look at the colors, slide it back to the wet paper, and let it dry until it's time to use it.<br />
<br />
<br />
♥ Thank you Born Pretty Store for giving me these pretty <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/water-decals-c-268_67_157.html">water decals</a>! ♥<br />
<br />
<br />
♥ Happy New Year! ♥<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bNjOY1t5jmU/VKF9qotcFYI/AAAAAAAANcU/bAtLwPSpATs/s1600/IMG_6547.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bNjOY1t5jmU/VKF9qotcFYI/AAAAAAAANcU/bAtLwPSpATs/s1600/IMG_6547.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This mani is inspired by the name of this green <a href="http://opi.com/">OPI</a><i style="font-weight: bold;"> </i>polish from the fall/ winter 2014 <a href="http://opi.com/color/collections/nordic">Nordic Collection</a>: <b><i><span style="font-size: large;">My Dogsled is a Hybrid. </span></i></b><br />
<br />
I think it's the best nail polish name ever!!! :-) A hybrid sled would be nice if the dogs were tired. But how can it work? Do you turn it around and it drags the dogs? Or do you put the dogs in the sled and drive it with a gasoline motor? A battery would not last very long in the cold... Or as my boyfriend suggested, the driver would have to drag the dogs and the sled...<br />
<br />
<br />
This is what I was wearing on Christmas Day. This manicure kind of evolved, so I'll show you the pictures in chronological order.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Step 1. Paint nails with OPI: My Dogsled is a Hybrid</span><br />
<br />
When I noticed that the sun was actually shining, I ran outside to take some photos.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9UzO1cqlMc4/VKF9kB3-22I/AAAAAAAANdk/HvWAzOXGef8/s1600/IMG_6495.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9UzO1cqlMc4/VKF9kB3-22I/AAAAAAAANdk/HvWAzOXGef8/s1600/IMG_6495.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
Not sure why my index nail looks strange.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CIYsqC3ybTc/VKF9kxDVZrI/AAAAAAAANds/qvwYfZxwjIs/s1600/IMG_6498.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CIYsqC3ybTc/VKF9kxDVZrI/AAAAAAAANds/qvwYfZxwjIs/s1600/IMG_6498.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Step 2. Stamp the trees, dogs and birds on. </span><br />
<br />
Then I hurried out before the sun went down, and I went for a long walk, as is our family tradition on Christmas Day.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z6FGFcLcx2c/VKF9lx9YUOI/AAAAAAAANbU/mB6VrOkK0Q4/s1600/IMG_6504.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z6FGFcLcx2c/VKF9lx9YUOI/AAAAAAAANbU/mB6VrOkK0Q4/s1600/IMG_6504.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">winter sunset</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
It was -14°C outside, and the snow had turned into chrystals some places. You can see a parts of some chrystals on the photo below.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: right;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4WGc_M4Y6WI/VKF9mkhxjOI/AAAAAAAANbg/avdhTs-24c0/s1600/IMG_6508.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4WGc_M4Y6WI/VKF9mkhxjOI/AAAAAAAANbg/avdhTs-24c0/s1600/IMG_6508.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
This nail polish name also brings back a lot of memories from my childhood...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_qskjXxJI0U/VKF9nMQS9OI/AAAAAAAANbo/6IVsvc5nwYg/s1600/IMG_6516.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_qskjXxJI0U/VKF9nMQS9OI/AAAAAAAANbo/6IVsvc5nwYg/s1600/IMG_6516.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
...I remember the Winter and Easter Vacations before I was old enough to go cross country skiing, when my dad used to put me in a pulk, and let his dog drag it. The dog ran like crazy, and never learned that the pulk was bigger than him... so it got stuck between trees, and turned upside down with baby me face down in the snow...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-apfyspFa2Lo/VKF9nhOW36I/AAAAAAAANbw/VgnS6vZ25KI/s1600/IMG_6521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-apfyspFa2Lo/VKF9nhOW36I/AAAAAAAANbw/VgnS6vZ25KI/s1600/IMG_6521.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
... and a few years later...<br />
<br />
...our neighbours came with us. Our parents probably wanted to walk fast, so I was allowed to be in the pulk with the other children. We lay there, all four of us, in a pulk made for 1 or 2 kids, but we talked and laughed and had fun. It's one of the happiest moments from my childhood...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-E-8VLFSmDRg/VKF9oIZtR5I/AAAAAAAANb0/jERqy5t7Mtk/s1600/IMG_6526.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-E-8VLFSmDRg/VKF9oIZtR5I/AAAAAAAANb0/jERqy5t7Mtk/s1600/IMG_6526.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
...and when I was about 12 years old...<br />
<br />
...I took a course in dog sled driving. We only used 3 dogs, and it's a long time ago, so sadly I don't remember enough to do it today, but it gave me enough reasons to buy this bottle because of it's name, even though I had just bought the "little NORTHIES mini nail lacquers" set, and I think I alredy have some similar green polishes... You might remember them from my <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/09/summer-vacation-hauls-2014.html">Summer Vacation haul post</a>.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here my skin looks pink because of the cold. I couldn't wear gloves, because they would have made my nails look hairy... LOL<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qK5r71Eyu_I/VKF9owjvuOI/AAAAAAAANcA/P1NN5vgVvns/s1600/IMG_6528.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qK5r71Eyu_I/VKF9owjvuOI/AAAAAAAANcA/P1NN5vgVvns/s1600/IMG_6528.JPG" height="542" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Yes, I know it's upside down</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Step 3. Add "snow". </span><br />
<br />
Sadly, I didn't look at the pictures until I came home. So it was then I added the snow on "the ground". I just used the brush from <i><b>OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls</b></i>.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KdMhL0Vmbik/VKF9pRdpAxI/AAAAAAAANcE/hHGzDUSRFQM/s1600/IMG_6533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KdMhL0Vmbik/VKF9pRdpAxI/AAAAAAAANcE/hHGzDUSRFQM/s1600/IMG_6533.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ott- Lite</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Step 4. Add glitter. </span><br />
<br />
It was so cold outside that it looked like someone had sprinkled tiny diamonds everywhere. That's why I felt that the mani needed some glitter.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Nn5fFNGpAM/VKF9qHZRZLI/AAAAAAAANcQ/ROKYZEwBQf4/s1600/IMG_6542.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Nn5fFNGpAM/VKF9qHZRZLI/AAAAAAAANcQ/ROKYZEwBQf4/s1600/IMG_6542.JPG" height="640" width="480" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">LED lamp</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I put a few drops of <i><b>OPI: My Voice is a Little Norse</b></i> on a palette and used a tiny brush to apply it. It's from the Nordic Collection too.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_siA7oA3Dgw/VKF9rCCRRnI/AAAAAAAANcc/P4JKgDEFCoY/s1600/IMG_6543.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_siA7oA3Dgw/VKF9rCCRRnI/AAAAAAAANcc/P4JKgDEFCoY/s1600/IMG_6543.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">LED lamp</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Products used:</span><br />
<br />
<a href="http://opi.com/">OPI</a>: My Dogsled is a Hybrid - green creme<br />
OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls - white creme<br />
OPI: My Voice is a Little Norse - silver holographic glitter<br />
<br />
Stamping plates:<br />
Dashica Beauty Shop: <a href="http://www.dashicabeautyshop.nl/c-2328047/infinity-nails/">Infinity Nails</a> 75 - trees<br />
<a href="http://www.moyou.co.uk/">MoYou London</a>: Explorer Collection 23 - birds<br />
MoYou London: Princess Collection 03 - dogs<br />
<br />
Stamping polish:<br />
<a href="http://www.konadnail.com/">Konad</a> SN White<br />
Konad SN Black<br />
<br />
Seche Vite<br />
<br />
<br />
As you see, exept for the stamping, I only used OPI. I don't have a sled image plate. LOL! So I had to leave the actual dog sled outside the design. Any suggestions?<br />
<br />
<br />
Here's one photo taken in daylight, where you can see that it's shiny:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lqxu11TD8qI/VKF9r00JWBI/AAAAAAAANck/nimAV4sD7X4/s1600/IMG_6557.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lqxu11TD8qI/VKF9r00JWBI/AAAAAAAANck/nimAV4sD7X4/s1600/IMG_6557.JPG" height="640" width="480" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">winter daylight</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
What do you think? Does this nail polish name give you good memories too? Any dog sled drivers among you?<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
I hope you all had a nice Christmas Holiday!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UzQEe4E5-uE/VJ8kcZ_VngI/AAAAAAAANWI/s01KcY6vZJQ/s1600/IMG_6463.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UzQEe4E5-uE/VJ8kcZ_VngI/AAAAAAAANWI/s01KcY6vZJQ/s1600/IMG_6463.JPG" height="542" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This is what I was wearing on Christmas Eve. Red with glitter.<br />
<br />
The base is 1 coat of a red <b><a href="http://www.hm.com/">H&M</a> </b>creme called <b><i>Dark Red</i></b>. It's from a <a href="http://www.hm.com/dk/product/42368?article=42368-A">6 pack mini set</a> that's still available on H&M.<br />
<br />
The glitter is called <i style="font-weight: bold;">Golden Star. </i>It's from a dutch indie brand called <b><a href="https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/Letitglitter">Let it glitter!</a>.</b><b> </b>I had to try this brand after seing <a href="http://mariasnailpolishblog.blogspot.no/2014/12/let-it-glitter-mistletoe-santas-suit.html">some beautiful holos</a> on <a href="http://mariasnailpolishblog.blogspot.no/">Maria's blog</a>.<i> </i>The holos and Golden Star are from the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/Letitglitter?section_id=16287869&ref=shopsection_leftnav_8">Hohoholographic Collection</a><i>. </i><i style="font-weight: bold;">Golden Star </i>is a clear base filled with tiny gold stars and hexagonal regular sized and small white glitter. This is one coat, and then I dabbed on a little more of the white glitter, and dipped the brush and picked up more stars with a dotting tool. Then I used Seche Vite, but I should have used more of the clear base first or Pochè, because I scratched myself a little. On her web page you can see how beautiful the glitter looks over black.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Sbp3ulkROpU/VJcNN9Z1puI/AAAAAAAANRM/FLRvADJjpe8/s1600/IMG_6416.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Sbp3ulkROpU/VJcNN9Z1puI/AAAAAAAANRM/FLRvADJjpe8/s1600/IMG_6416.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">LED lamp</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
I made this today, which is the shortest day of the year here in the northern hemisphere; December Solstice. Every year on this day, even though winter has just started, I always look forward to longer and longer days the next 6 months. It's also the last Sunday in advent. So I felt it was too early for red nails, and purple is the color traditionally used the month before Christmas around here. So that's why I made purple snowflake nails on this Midwinter Day.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ott- Lite</td></tr>

<div style="text-align: right;">

<br />
<br />
And I was curious about <b>Kings & Queens</b>, this red toned purple linear holographic polish that I bought when<a href="http://www.ilnp.com/"> <b>I Love Nail Polish</b></a> had a sale earlier this fall, when they sold out their round bottles with this I♥ logo. Their new bottles are square.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I brought a little snow inside for these two pictures.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Unfortunately the sun wasn't shining today, and the winter daylight was low when I was ready to take the photos, so most of these photos are taken in artificial lighting and don't look as shiny as they do IRL.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<br />
Camoflage is kind of simple around here now in the middle of winter. It's completely white.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_PsdJ0ZkAGw/VITklgJ5vbI/AAAAAAAANMU/JHFibczZQ8I/s1600/IMG_3180.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_PsdJ0ZkAGw/VITklgJ5vbI/AAAAAAAANMU/JHFibczZQ8I/s1600/IMG_3180.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_937117293"></span><span id="goog_937117294"></span><br />
<br />
Yes, if there is a military exercise, the soildiers are very well dressed with many layers of warm clothing, but the outer layer of their uniform is white from top to toe. I used <i><b>OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls</b></i> here, a white creme with a hint of grey.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vhQdK6haZMc/VITkjevhyXI/AAAAAAAANL8/M87VzF7GZG4/s1600/IMG_6281.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vhQdK6haZMc/VITkjevhyXI/AAAAAAAANL8/M87VzF7GZG4/s1600/IMG_6281.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The bottle I'm holding is my favorite cuticle oil from Mi-ny: <i><b>Mi-ny Therapy Oil + Cuticles & Nails With Vitamine E & F</b></i>. It smells like lemon, but the smell is not strong. I love the bottle shape. The plastic cap is very comfortable to hold, and the angled sponge on the tip is perfect for application. One dip into the bottle is enough for all the nails on one hand. Dip again, and your other hand is done in no time. I feel I use less time with this sponge applicator than with a brush. I also love how steady the bottle stands on any surface. So when I empty a Mi-ny cuticle oil bottle, I fill it up with other oils (that I've got as a gift), and have one bottle in each room.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lh93YRrbAIc/VHuwXuqYs1I/AAAAAAAANK0/t2j_SxlbqM4/s1600/IMG_6224.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lh93YRrbAIc/VHuwXuqYs1I/AAAAAAAANK0/t2j_SxlbqM4/s1600/IMG_6224.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the <span style="font-size: large;"><b>brushstroke</b> </span>manicure I made for last weeks prompt. I used two of the polishes from my <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/09/summer-vacation-hauls-2014.html">summer vacation hauls</a>. The black <b>Catrice</b> polish is called: <b>Black For Gold</b>. It's pigmented and nice, but I used 2 coats here. Then I simply wiped off the brush of the red polish and tried to make brushstrokes. This pretty red shimmer is called <b>Alluring Red</b>. I'm very happy that I bought it! :-) It's from the limited edition Metallure collection.<br />
<br />
<br />
The other prompt was <span style="font-size: large;">"<b>favorite brand</b>"</span>, and with me that changes all the time. I like certain types of polish from certain brands, but from some brands I only have 2 polishes... Right now my <u>favorite brands </u>are probably <b>Darling Diva</b> and <b>Nire's Desire</b>, because I recently bought some polishes from them that I love.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>But I do have a few brands that I like because of the diversity of polishes they make:</u><br />
<br />
<b>Dance Legend, Mi- ny, Deborah Lippmann, and Crowes Toes </b>all make a lot of different polishes. I also love <b>H&M</b> for their cheap and good cremes, and sometimes they create something awesome like the blue string/ bar glitter in 2013. I also love their clothes and the cruelty- free hair color. <b>Gina Tricot</b> is also a favorite brand, but I must admit that I love their clothes more than their polish, but it's cheap, and I really like some of their polishes.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>If you want to read my favorite brand list regarding types of polish, here it is:</u><br />
<br />
<b>Cremes:</b> GOSH (because they're nearly one coaters), Deborah Lippmann's Spring Reveries collection (pretty pastels)<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Multichromes: </b>Enchanted Polish, I Love Nail Polish, Dance Legend, Crows Toes, and Nire's Desire (I haven't tried Nire's Desire Prana yet, but I know I'll like it. LOL!).<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Flakies:</b> Nfu- Oh (especially #51 and #56), Nubar 2010 (my most used flakie), Mi- ny, but I think they'll soon be beaten by I Love Nail Polish's multichrome flakies when they arrive (next year... because I forgot to preorder...)<br />
<br />
<b>Holographic:</b><br />
-strong linear: Color Club Halo Hues, and I like the darker holos by Emily de Molly, Darling Diva, LilypadLacquer, and some brands I'm waiting for...<br />
-scattered: Linda Johansen, Dance Legend, Picture Polish<br />
<br />
<b>Textured:</b> IsaDora and GOSH<br />
<br />
<br />
Now I feel bad about not mentioning some brands that have made my "Top 20 best polish list"...<br />
Sorry! Sorry Sorry!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lKhoyU1A1sQ/VIIik4d7pHI/AAAAAAAANLg/z3ExRj8fZTI/s1600/IMG_6249.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lKhoyU1A1sQ/VIIik4d7pHI/AAAAAAAANLg/z3ExRj8fZTI/s1600/IMG_6249.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
What's your favorite brand(s)?<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J3ZAMopPXdU/VHpPn1sA5II/AAAAAAAANG4/aNgoPMKiN8c/s1600/IMG_1770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J3ZAMopPXdU/VHpPn1sA5II/AAAAAAAANG4/aNgoPMKiN8c/s1600/IMG_1770.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b><span style="font-size: large;">Dance Legend</span></b></i> is a Russian brand that seem to make all kinds of nail polish. If it has been made, they make it too. If it hasn't been made, they make it. When I first heard about this brand, I'd never seen a franken collection before, and the caviar polish was also new to me. Interesting to see what this brand will do next. I couldn't find any information about animal testing, so I emailed them. And they wrote that they don't do animal testing! I hope we can trust their answer.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-foC6dzljW_w/VHpPqVhLp0I/AAAAAAAANHQ/5L6cSUahPLI/s1600/IMG_1780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-foC6dzljW_w/VHpPqVhLp0I/AAAAAAAANHQ/5L6cSUahPLI/s1600/IMG_1780.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dPDd00gyV0Y/VHpPm2MEqYI/AAAAAAAANGw/_LLdhRsB28E/s1600/IMG_1769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dPDd00gyV0Y/VHpPm2MEqYI/AAAAAAAANGw/_LLdhRsB28E/s1600/IMG_1769.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<i><b><span style="font-size: large;">The Knight</span></b></i> is a multichrome that goes from blue to gold, or is it copper? It's a no longer available limited edition polish from the Camelon collection.<br />
<br />
I expected a full size bottle of maybe the most beautiful multichrome ever. When my tiny (6,5 ml.) mini bottle arrived, I panicked, and I tried to order one more. I knew it was limited edition, but I couldn't decide which extra bottle to buy, so I went to bed. Next day it was sold out! I waited for a very good reason to wear it. One evening in June, I was going to watch a ballet, and tried the Knight on, and it went right in on my top 20 list. I had to wait for day 2 to take the photos, and the polish had some scratch marks. But without any back up bottle on my way, I just couldn't take it off and reapply it. I didn't want to waste this polish... After I found a bottle on eBay, I wish I had better photos though... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZlhLTeIiw7c/VHpNWbyORPI/AAAAAAAANGk/CuCBwwZWuaw/s1600/IMG_1768.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZlhLTeIiw7c/VHpNWbyORPI/AAAAAAAANGk/CuCBwwZWuaw/s1600/IMG_1768.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IcTwDQcq0cA/VHpPrGXopQI/AAAAAAAANHY/J_wcnLT-gn8/s1600/IMG_1808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IcTwDQcq0cA/VHpPrGXopQI/AAAAAAAANHY/J_wcnLT-gn8/s1600/IMG_1808.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
As you see on the first picture below, this polish is like a camelon. Here is has picked up the surrounding green and yellow color, like a mirror:<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<br />
<br />
To my surprise, this is what the cotton looks like when removing this polish. Where did all that gold go?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NkRpdcBODxI/VHpPtwoJvGI/AAAAAAAANH4/sIs_Zav4o2Y/s1600/IMG_1851.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NkRpdcBODxI/VHpPtwoJvGI/AAAAAAAANH4/sIs_Zav4o2Y/s1600/IMG_1851.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Do you love this polish as much as I do?<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is is a part of what Wenche, from <a href="http://www.norwaynails.com/">Norway Nails</a> (sells indie nail polish), wrote about why she chose to host this nail art contest:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<i>"In october last year I were diagnosed with Diabetes 2 - the 14th of November are the <a href="http://www.idf.org/worlddiabetesday"><span style="color: blue;"><b>World Diabetes day</b></span></a>. I think it's important to spread awareness around this disease and how to prevent getting it and to manage it if you already got it. </i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<i>So - I'm putting up a nail art contest that will run from today until the 13th of november."</i></div>

<b><span style="font-size: large;">Very short about <a href="http://www.idf.org/about-diabetes"><span style="color: blue;">diabetes</span></a>:</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Diabetes is a serious illness. It has to do with too little production of insulin or that insulin cannot be processed, and the glucose level gets too high. If you have diabetes, you can get many other deceases later in your life, if the long-term glucose levels are high. One thing you have to pay close attention to is wounds, because wounds can take longer to heal if you suffer from diabetes. There are very many types of diabetes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">These 3 are the main types of diabetes:</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b>Type 1 </b>is the most serious, and you will need injections with insulin to stay alive. Luckily the insulin pen was invented, and that made it much easier to regulate the insulin level and it allows people to be more free regarding to what they can eat, and they no longer have to stay on a very strict diet. Many get it early in life, and that can be a challenge. I still remember how my friend cried when she had to get her injections when she was a child. It can also be a challenge for adolescents to stay on a very strict diet and to not be able to party like their friends.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b>Type 2 </b>diabetes is the most common (90%), and it often affects people who are overweight. Many can get well by simply loosing weight. This type of diabetes can in many cases be prevented by living a healthy life and maintaining a normal weight. But people in the world are getting bigger and bigger, and that makes diabetes a huge problem worldwide. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b>Gestational diabetes (GDM) </b>affects 25% of all pregnant women. Although many get well after giving birth, it's important to be aware of it, because it can lead to complications for both child and mother.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">What you should do:</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Be aware of the <a href="http://www.idf.org/signs-and-symptoms-diabetes"><span style="color: blue;"><b>symptoms</b></span></a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Get your glucose level checked every year. Remember to not eat the day you take the test. This can be measured in urin or a blodtest. And ask for both a glucose test and a HbA1c test (measures long term glucose level).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Be aware of the <a href="http://www.idf.org/about-diabetes/risk-factors"><span style="color: blue;"><b>risk factors</b></span></a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
I also found this link: <a href="http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/obesity-cause-type-2-diabetes/"><span style="color: blue;"><b>How Does Obesity Cause Type 2 Diabetes?</b></span></a><br />
<br />

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tB9f93Zg3gs/VHeHFD9g6PI/AAAAAAAANAg/wSWEeVXAn3U/s1600/IMG_2963.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tB9f93Zg3gs/VHeHFD9g6PI/AAAAAAAANAg/wSWEeVXAn3U/s1600/IMG_2963.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">About the nails:</span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></b>
I wanted to use LilypadLacquer: Blueberry, a blue jelly, because blue is the color for diabetes awareness. And because I got it as a free sample when I bought something from Norway Nails. And because making a "stampwich" was the weekly challenge in a stamping group back then. I used images with a curve going up and down, like the glucose level.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CWAWSbR6DMg/VHeHHNmvHJI/AAAAAAAANA4/5xRaIQ8zt8c/s1600/IMG_2985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CWAWSbR6DMg/VHeHHNmvHJI/AAAAAAAANA4/5xRaIQ8zt8c/s1600/IMG_2985.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Products used:</span><br />
<br />
LilypadLacquer: Blueberry<br />
Emily de Molly: Belissima<br />
Konad SN White<br />
MoYou London: Suki Collection 08<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oFuLk1bKCmI/VHeHDi-NoVI/AAAAAAAANAU/_Xx6ETuPIRs/s1600/IMG_2877.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oFuLk1bKCmI/VHeHDi-NoVI/AAAAAAAANAU/_Xx6ETuPIRs/s1600/IMG_2877.JPG" height="640" width="602" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">What I did:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
This was a year ago, so I don't remember exactly how many layers of the jelly I used, but I stamped between the coats of the blue jelly. On the thumb I put glitter between the layers. So this is a glitter sandwich and my first jelly stampwich. Emily de Molly describes the glitter in Bellissima as "<i>Holographic silver, matte pink and holographic lavender dots and hexes</i>". It has a clear base, and the silver and pastel colored glitter is perfect for jelly sandwiches. The stamping wasn't perfect, so I used a brush and white to try to make it perfect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XTBh3dTbD8w/VHeHEUTEx3I/AAAAAAAANAY/4u2-h9_ocKw/s1600/IMG_2946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XTBh3dTbD8w/VHeHEUTEx3I/AAAAAAAANAY/4u2-h9_ocKw/s1600/IMG_2946.JPG" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I bought the jelly and the glitter from Norway Nails.<br />
<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R26fYYYQrgg/VHTQ09QnXeI/AAAAAAAAM6I/i6R5qls4nxo/s1600/IMG_6095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R26fYYYQrgg/VHTQ09QnXeI/AAAAAAAAM6I/i6R5qls4nxo/s1600/IMG_6095.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It was difficult to decide which movie I like best, and that's one of the reasons why I didn't complete the 31 Day challenge... So now I tried to narrow it down to the movies I've seen most times; <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372532/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">The Wedding Date</a>, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097958/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_53">National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation</a>, the first <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0241527/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">Harry Potter </a>movie, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">Avatar</a>, the <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088763/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">Back to the Future Trilogy I </a>& <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096874/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4">II</a> & <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099088/?ref_=fn_al_tt_5">III</a>, but I couldn't pick only one of the Back to the Future movies... I chose "<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372532/?ref_=nv_sr_1">The Wedding Date</a>" because it's a movie that makes me smile. I remember a day when I was very sad, and I sat down and watched it 3 times. It's very funny, romantic, a little sad sometimes, the actors are doing a fantastic job, and it has a happy ending. :-) If you see it, notice that Kat has the same mum that you might know as Charlie and Allan's mum in <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369179/">Two and a half men</a>.<br />
<br />
The movie is from 2005, but if you have access to VH1, you can watch it on TV December 5th and 6th.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I was going to show you a trailer, but I think it shows too much of what happens. So I'll just leave you with a list of the products I used:<br />
<br />
Duri Rejuvacote (base coat)<br />
Color Club: #997 Over the Moon - blue<br />
LilypadLacquer: Purple People Eater - purple<br />
Picture Polish: Bridget - red<br />
Pretty Serious: 88MPH - aluminium<br />
XL stamper<br />
Konad: SN Black - stamping polish<br />
MoYou London: Comics Collection - 05 (love couple)<br />
MoYou London: Roxy Collection - 07 (man)<br />
Bundle Monster: BM - 421 (film)<br />
Seche Vite<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i7ruAaTXyXQ/VHTQ24TSp-I/AAAAAAAAM6Y/1cFZfTtAHrw/s1600/IMG_6115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i7ruAaTXyXQ/VHTQ24TSp-I/AAAAAAAAM6Y/1cFZfTtAHrw/s1600/IMG_6115.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I bought the Color Club polish on eBay. The other 3 were bought from <a href="http://www.norwaynails.com/">Norway Nails</a>.<br />
<br />
I tried to do "Favorite Movie Nails", but it turned into "Favorite MovieS Nails" instead. As you see I used 88MPH on my pinkie, which is inspired by the car/ time machine in the Back to the Future trilogy, and I'm a big fan, so I had to include it. And I used Bridget on my ring finger, which was inspired by the Bridget Jones movies. The colors are also symbolic. The color blue is used a lot in the Wedding Date, but also in Avatar. And purple is maybe my favorite color, but... ...I'm going to try to stop writing now....<br />
<br />
Last year in the Norway Nails giveaway, I was also asked what my favourite movie is, and then I answered "<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1605783/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1">Midnignt in Paris</a>" which I love, and it's one of the best movies I've seen. But I've only seen it twice... and it would be difficult to try to paint the amazing poster...<br />
<br />
Now I'm very curious. What's your favorite movie? And which movie is the best movie ever?<br />

Hello everyone!<br />

<br />
This is supposed to look like red, green and yellow apples with caramel. I've never tasted caramel apples, but I love caramel, and when I saw a photo of <a href="http://instagram.com/p/t31d-4AGDp/?modal=true">@polishpdxnails'</a> <a href="http://hellogiggles.com/nails-day-caramel-apples">Caramel Apple Nails</a>, I wanted to try too. I had bought a caramel colored polish, and I should have done it then, when my nails were super short, and looked more like round apples.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgePo2yxitseNR8hiEFCQGiwmIFrsaY6FPp1jxq69AbTv1XwnANO7xP-EIvrwdqNB4Bir-18EVLKmMZHkHINlCmvSn-03DwAhnJ5rI2z0DcZiMvXoCTTZC5uboogeXPDTNjububMNJdWwQG/s1600/IMG_5865.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgePo2yxitseNR8hiEFCQGiwmIFrsaY6FPp1jxq69AbTv1XwnANO7xP-EIvrwdqNB4Bir-18EVLKmMZHkHINlCmvSn-03DwAhnJ5rI2z0DcZiMvXoCTTZC5uboogeXPDTNjububMNJdWwQG/s1600/IMG_5865.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I've been looking forward to this theme because I had planned to make pet nails; horse-, dog-, cat-, or rabbit nails. These are all "domestic animals", which was the theme in the 52 week challenge before we made "<a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/11/52wpnmc-wild-animals-african-sunset.html">wild animals</a>". This turned out a little more childish than planned... so I made it even more girly... and added hearts... and glitter... and ended up with too much glitter...<br />
<br />
The animals and hearts are all water decals that I've bought from Born Pretty Store. The green nail polish is H&M Amazon. You can see it swatched below, and how this manicure evolved:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-D-CFEN5Y-7Y/VHJeku0QdnI/AAAAAAAAMzI/zk11xBTprHY/s1600/IMG_5847.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-D-CFEN5Y-7Y/VHJeku0QdnI/AAAAAAAAMzI/zk11xBTprHY/s1600/IMG_5847.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>H&M Amazon</b></i> is a bright medium green. This is 2 easy coats.<br />
<br />
Then I made a gradient with <i><b>H&M Mint Madness</b></i>, a pastel green, and applied top coat before using the water decals. I used different top coats to avoid problems.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oEYzz7Ptl-o/VHJelbv4MkI/AAAAAAAAMzQ/NaKK-uaPKzM/s1600/IMG_5856.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oEYzz7Ptl-o/VHJelbv4MkI/AAAAAAAAMzQ/NaKK-uaPKzM/s1600/IMG_5856.JPG" height="584" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't like the gradient, so I covered it with <i><b>Orly Sparkling Garbage</b></i>. I made a test on the thumb, and found out that I shouldn't cover the water decals. I think I used <i><b>H&M Pink bling bling</b></i> over the entire nail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-viCadg-1-NU/VHJepfaRGgI/AAAAAAAAM0A/dvtVMTPq-1A/s1600/IMG_5891.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-viCadg-1-NU/VHJepfaRGgI/AAAAAAAAM0A/dvtVMTPq-1A/s1600/IMG_5891.JPG" height="640" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So I used a dotting tool and Sparkling Garbage on the other fingers.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vbpOweSOR9g/VHJemmBACAI/AAAAAAAAMzg/NLxwE9nD4fw/s1600/IMG_5875.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; display: inline !important; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vbpOweSOR9g/VHJemmBACAI/AAAAAAAAMzg/NLxwE9nD4fw/s1600/IMG_5875.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And then I covered everything with <i><b>INM</b></i> <i><b>Northern Lights</b></i> instead of the bigger Orly glitter:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eSglGlC9l5Y/VGkkWA5MP9I/AAAAAAAAMkc/EZmhLWUL1DA/s1600/IMG_5246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eSglGlC9l5Y/VGkkWA5MP9I/AAAAAAAAMkc/EZmhLWUL1DA/s1600/IMG_5246.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
"Yellow" is one of the themes in the 52 Week PICK N MIX Challenge this week, but I made this when "yellow" was the theme in the Blogger Bragger Autumn Nail Art Challenge. The base is <b>Deborah Lippmann: Flowers In Her Hair</b>, and the yellow roses and the leafs are painted with acrylic craft paint and a toothpick. Some photos are taken before I added INM Northern Lights, and some are with the holo microglitter. So this is a mint and yellow version of my <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/06/vintage-flowers-freehand-nail-art.html">Vintage Flowers</a> nails.<br />
<br />
One photo of how I made this:<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-km4cwHp2vHY/VGj2sWCrCpI/AAAAAAAAMjQ/0O72stwyp38/s1600/IMG_5936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-km4cwHp2vHY/VGj2sWCrCpI/AAAAAAAAMjQ/0O72stwyp38/s1600/IMG_5936.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I had wanted to make African sunset/ sunrise nails for a long time, but when "wild animals" and "wildlife" were the challenges in two facebook groups, I finally made this today. All the pictures are taken inside, because we only have a few hours of winter daylight this time of the year.<br />
Edited: I've added one photo taken in daylight, where you can see how shiny this mani is:<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">What I did:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
I was already wearing a coral creme nail polish called Coral Reef by Mineral Fusion (3 coats + Seche Vite.) First I made a red- orange gradient, then I stamped the African animals and the tree on. I used two MoYou London stamping plates; I used #04 from the Kitty Collection for the big giraffe on the thumb. All the other images are from Explorer Collection #23. (#23 is perfect for us with small nail beds, but they have a XL plate with bigger images.) I also used the black Konad stamping polish to paint the "Savannah" tips.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Products used: </span><br />
<br />
Gradient:<br />
Ruby Kisses: Cheesum (orange)<br />
Mineral Fusion: Coral Reef (coral)<br />
Gina Tricot: #146 The red (red)<br />
Gina Tricot: #7 Zinfandel (dark red)<br />
a stamping plate as palette<br />
a dotting tool to mix the colors<br />
a piece of a car sponge to make the gradient<br />
<br />
Stamping:<br />
MoYou London: Explorer Collection #23 (plate for small nail beds. They have a XL size too)<br />
MoYou London: Kitty Collection #04 (big giraffe)<br />
Konad SP Black (stamping polish)<br />
marshmallow XL stamper<br />
<br />
To avoid problems, I used different top coats; HK Girl over the gradient, and Seche Vite after the stamping.<br />
<br />
The index nail is broken again, so had to glue it and use silk wrap and resin.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hYYplEjcEio/VGAMza-ZsmI/AAAAAAAAMds/lQm5x3x-amo/s1600/IMG_5824.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hYYplEjcEio/VGAMza-ZsmI/AAAAAAAAMds/lQm5x3x-amo/s1600/IMG_5824.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
"3 shades of blue" is one of the themes this week in the 52 Week PICK N MIX Challenge (#52WPNMC).<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">My 3 blues are:</span><br />
<br />
Sally Hansen: #420 Pacific Blue<br />
Deborah Lippmann: Blue Orchid<br />
Picture Polish: Freya's Cats<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nWI9XJ_4V5M/VGAMx7J81LI/AAAAAAAAMdc/4UYlrQ-bR_4/s1600/IMG_5818.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nWI9XJ_4V5M/VGAMx7J81LI/AAAAAAAAMdc/4UYlrQ-bR_4/s1600/IMG_5818.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">What I did:</span><br />
<br />
The base is Pacific Blue. Then I made stripes with the brush from the bottles of Blue Orchid and Freya's Cats. Because I don't have a top coat that doesn't destroy the foil, I applied Seche Vite (top coat) before painting the foil glue on, and applying the blue nail foil. I bought the foil from KKCenterHk.<br />
<br />
<br />
Sally Hansen: #420 Pacific Blue looks prettier than on the photo below:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FEsw4flViMI/VGAMxaYDG0I/AAAAAAAAMdY/FhU08lQU3Ds/s1600/IMG_5811.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FEsw4flViMI/VGAMxaYDG0I/AAAAAAAAMdY/FhU08lQU3Ds/s1600/IMG_5811.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I've only read good things about Pacific Blue, and when everybody started to buy as many back up bottles they could, I got curious. And now that I'm wearing it, I must say that I really understand the hype! This is a very beautiful royal blue, and it reminds me of my dear old <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2014/01/got-polish-challenge-blue-and.html">Dior #489 Cobalt</a>. Sally Hansen has made a new blue polish and given it the same name. I found this bottle on eBay.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SbG0j0r2nCY/VFZuruWMR1I/AAAAAAAAMWk/Dl8YOKFWbII/s1600/%2331Nails2014%2B%239%2BOmbre.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SbG0j0r2nCY/VFZuruWMR1I/AAAAAAAAMWk/Dl8YOKFWbII/s1600/%2331Nails2014%2B%239%2BOmbre.jpg" height="400" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Making ombre nails by mixing one color with white is a new technique for me, and extra fun because the polish is color changing. And I think this is my favourite color, so this manicure could have been used for both day 9 <i><b>Ombre</b></i>, day 2 <i><b>Favourite color</b></i>, and day 30 <i><b>A new technique</b></i>. But I've already written about Day 2.<br />
<br />
Look how different this mani looks in different light conditions:<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Outside (low winter light)</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
I've seen confusing use of the words "ombre nails" and "gradient nails", so I did a little research. I hope The Swatchaholic's <a href="http://the-swatchaholic.com/?p=5909">definition of ombre nails</a> is correct. I could have used 4 different polishes, but because this is a nail art challenge, I wanted to try to do it the hard way.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HDOR_81XExo/VFZuj3SJCwI/AAAAAAAAMVE/PJrcrtLdW4M/s1600/IMG_1441.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HDOR_81XExo/VFZuj3SJCwI/AAAAAAAAMVE/PJrcrtLdW4M/s1600/IMG_1441.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Inside Ott- Lite</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: right;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
I used the color changing polish <i><b><a href="http://rubywing.com/new-arrivals/summer-collection">Ruby Wing</a>: Crowd Surf</b> </i>and mixed with <i><b><a href="http://www.isadora.com/global/">IsaDora</a>: #603 Tip White</b></i>, just enough for each nail. In real life this looks very beautiful, but it's impossible to photograph... So the only way to see this, is to do it yourself.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: right;">
</div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kB6mfLARYqw/VFZupBRIWWI/AAAAAAAAMWI/xXkXPIWWEfY/s1600/IMG_1517.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kB6mfLARYqw/VFZupBRIWWI/AAAAAAAAMWI/xXkXPIWWEfY/s1600/IMG_1517.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Bathroom</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
Crowd Surf changes color when you go outside, but with modern lighting it's even more fun. I can even see the difference when I put the fingers under my IKEA LED lamp where it's a beautiful very bright (neon?) magenta, and take the hand away, and here, in front of the PC where it's darker.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ER3ZHYoIAc8/VFZup7NYXsI/AAAAAAAAMWQ/T8bstFXGQns/s1600/IMG_1520.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ER3ZHYoIAc8/VFZup7NYXsI/AAAAAAAAMWQ/T8bstFXGQns/s1600/IMG_1520.JPG" height="640" width="480" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Daylight: in the kitchen by the window</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ocJ7t_iR1P8/VFZuq-PIFDI/AAAAAAAAMWg/WQesVXKxdzo/s1600/IMG_1471%2B(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ocJ7t_iR1P8/VFZuq-PIFDI/AAAAAAAAMWg/WQesVXKxdzo/s1600/IMG_1471%2B%282%29.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Evening: in the kitchen</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br />
So on some photos there's a nice ombre from pink to darker pink or lavender to violet, and on some photos it doesn't look like the ombre I tried to do because of the color changing polish.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m5gbHfDBkos/VFZuqUuYvlI/AAAAAAAAMWU/BAldn4hCtsQ/s1600/IMG_1492%2B(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m5gbHfDBkos/VFZuqUuYvlI/AAAAAAAAMWU/BAldn4hCtsQ/s1600/IMG_1492%2B%282%29.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Outside (low winter light)</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--4eix-57tFs/VFZumVxom-I/AAAAAAAAMVo/GpjAnwYMOxA/s1600/IMG_1481.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--4eix-57tFs/VFZumVxom-I/AAAAAAAAMVo/GpjAnwYMOxA/s1600/IMG_1481.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Living room LED bulb?</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Crowd Surf is on my top 20 list, but I haven't showed it here on the blog because I never feel my photos are good enough. It dries matte, but with a top coat it's extremely shiny. It's very eyecatching/ bright/ nearly neon, so if you wear it, you have to be ready to talk about your nails, because everyone will comment on them. I found it on eBay in spring 2013. It's from <a href="http://rubywing.com/new-arrivals/summer-collection">Ruby Wing's 2013 Summer Collection</a>. Ruby Wing (look for Forsythe Cosmetic Group) and IsaDora are not tested on animals. :-)<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
For Day 8 in the 31 Day Challenge, I chose to use an old glitter french form 2012. I used Accessorize "Dream". You can read more and see more photos <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.no/2012/05/accessorize-dream.html">here</a>.<br />

<br />
<br />
Sorry about making many blog posts today, but I have too many swatches and old nail art that I should have showed you a long time ago.<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GUhR5IbO_Pw/VFURRxGbI1I/AAAAAAAAMPY/gpbTrMDpCpY/s1600/IMG_8048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GUhR5IbO_Pw/VFURRxGbI1I/AAAAAAAAMPY/gpbTrMDpCpY/s1600/IMG_8048.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My second black and white mani for Day 7 in the 31 Day challenge (#31Nails2014) was made back in January, and finally I'm making a blog post about it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Khi4mAwyoMo/VFURShllGUI/AAAAAAAAMPg/UZnEJUgu85Y/s1600/IMG_0007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Khi4mAwyoMo/VFURShllGUI/AAAAAAAAMPg/UZnEJUgu85Y/s1600/IMG_0007.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I painted my nails white with IsaDora #603 Tip White (which is cruelty- free), top coated, and stamped the flowers on with Konad SP Black and two stamping plates from MoYou London; Pro Collection 07 (small) and 14 (XL).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wYMxpYbF-o0/VFURQkQybWI/AAAAAAAAMPM/nBN1E-HcpIE/s1600/IMG_8044.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wYMxpYbF-o0/VFURQkQybWI/AAAAAAAAMPM/nBN1E-HcpIE/s1600/IMG_8044.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Because of my small nail beds, I often have to buy the same image in both XL to fit my thumbs and in small to look good on the other nails. It's a little frustrating economically, but here it also gave me the opportunity to mix up the images so that I got the variation I wanted on the nails.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bfzIOP9FN7w/VFURTXu0KlI/AAAAAAAAMPo/xjDuvYeKJcU/s1600/IMG_0027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bfzIOP9FN7w/VFURTXu0KlI/AAAAAAAAMPo/xjDuvYeKJcU/s1600/IMG_0027.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I don't remember if I used a top coat. I usually do. But because of the low winter light outside, I've probably had to use the Ott- lite, and then the manis look matte on the photos... Do you have any god suggestions for winter photography?<br />

Hello everyone!<br />
<br />
I'm using an old giant panda manicure for day 7's challenge, which is BLACK and WHITE. (Actually I have one more black & white mani for NAILS Magazine's 31 day nail art challenge back in January) I made this when Xiao Liwu was about 6 months old. He's now two years and 3 months old. You can still watch him and his mother Bai Yun on the <a href="http://zoo.sandiegozoo.org/cams/panda-cam">Panda Cam</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gJKrGlrkDHo/VFURxHPvcWI/AAAAAAAAMP0/xvOqImrM3iE/s1600/IMG_0625.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gJKrGlrkDHo/VFURxHPvcWI/AAAAAAAAMP0/xvOqImrM3iE/s1600/IMG_0625.JPG" height="478" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
In the original blog post, <a href="http://nailphotosbylani.blogspot.ca/2012/12/giant-panda-and-giant-panda-cub-water.html">Giant panda and giant panda cub water decals and videos</a>, you can see one panda cub hand and one giant panda hand made with water decals, how to apply water decals, and some cute videos showing Bay Yun and the cub in the den, and his development the first half year. I also shared one more panda manicure that I had made earlier.<br />
<br />
You will also find the details about the products I used, and links in the old blog post. The water decals were a gift from <a href="http://www.kkcenterhk.com/">KKCenterHk</a>.<br />
