Bundle Monster Easter

Hello everyone!

As you probably see, I've used 4 Bundle Monster stamping plates with Easter images, and added some dots. Yes, candy is still a big part of my Easter Holidays! My favourite Easter image is the one with the bunny in the egg with the flowers. The base is a- england Briarwood, bought with a 40% coupon code when many online stores celebrated Tristam's birthday, a few weeks ago! :-) Tristam is of course Adina's (the creator of a- england) beautiful cat. He is 3 years old.

I actually made this before Easter, but as usual, I'm behind on the blogging. I even have lots of photos from 2013 that I have to go through. :-( And I still haven't showed all the nail art I did the last 6 months... and I keep swatching and making new nail art... What do you think I should do?

Stamped Newspaper Nails with Flowers- AIS Stamping over a nude base. BM -311

Hello everyone!

Today I can finally show you something I made in August, when the challenge in the group Adventures In Stamping was: "Stamping over a nude base". You have seen the end result above. Now I'll show you the nude base color, and how this mani evolved from day to day, and a list of what I used.


Day 1: H&M: Lavender Frost + Seche Vite 

Here you see the nude base on it's own. I've showed you the other color in this duo nail polish last year. To see it, click here. Both colors are very opaque and have a thick formula. H&M do not test their nail polish on animals.

I'm still searching for the perfect nude cream nail polish. Do you have any suggestions? I've already bought a light peach, but haven't tried it yet. My favorite nude is Crows Toes: Birthday Suit, but that's not a cream.


Day 2: Newspaper stamping

I used BM- 311 and stamped with Konad SP Black. Sadly the top coat smeared the black a little.


Day 3: White flowers

I found these flowers on the same stamping plate, and used a dotting tool to make the black centers. But I felt that it still needed something, and added black flowers in the same way.

I also used IsaDora #600 Clear as base coat, and Seche Vite after each step.

Sat- ART- Day Club: Dotting Tools

Hello everyone!

The keyword for the Sat- ART- Day Club on Saturday was: DOTTING TOOLS. This is what I came up with. First I'll tell you what I did and show more photos, and further down I'll include a photo and a list of the polishes used, and thumbnails with links to the other dotticures.

What I did:
I started with pink, mint, peach, purple and blue cream skittles. Then I used the dotting tool and made darker dots and flakie dots on the sides of one finger, and then dotted three dots of the flakie in the middle of the next finger, and so on... So I used 3 polishes from each color family: one pastel cream, one a little darker, and one flakie.

Today's theme in the Sat- ART- Day Club is "Winter scarves or outfits". My inspiration was the polar bear candle that you see in many of the photos. And as you hopefully can see, I made a head with a tuque/ beanie and a scarf.

Today's challenge in the Sat- ART- Day Club is "SCI- FI". My inspiration for this nail art is from Star Wars. My nails are supposed to resemble the sky on Tatooine where you can see two suns. I found a video where NASA shows that it can be possible to have two suns on the sky, which includes a short clip from the first Star Wars movie that inspired me.

Today is the first time I participate on Polish Day. I am very happy that I got this opportunity. Today we are all going to make a "Jelly Sandwich". A "Jelly Sandwich" is supposed to look like a jelly with glitter or flakies trapped inside. You just use a sheer nail polish, and put one or more layers of glitter/ flakies between layers of the sheer nail polish.

This is my very first attempt on making a post on my first blog ever. I have taken pictures of my polished nails for some time, so I have a lot to show you. But first I have to learn how to blog and how to watermark the photos.

I tried to make dots that should look like big glitter, with the dotting tool and various nailpolishes in a random order

Here you see the silver-purple color of the duochrome polish. It was much more difficult to capture than the silver or silver- green.

I hope you liked my pictures! If you look at the other entries in this competition, you will see that there are a lot of beautiful designs, so I doubt I will win. But it was fun to come up with ideas, and I am so glad I partisipated, and excited about finally having a blog, even though it has been a lot to learn about how to do everything on the PC, and so difficult that I several times almost gave up. But my best friend helped me, again and again. And next time everything will not be new :-)

For this design, I used two Deborah Lippmann polishes; Wicked Game, and Happy Birthday on the tips. Then I added dots of nailpolish in some of the same colors that you find in the glitter.

I feel so good using the Deborah Lippmann polishes because they are cruelty free. It is even written on the bottlebox. I wish all the brands who do not test on animals, would mark their products too. To see Deborah Lippmanns collection klick here.
