Nfu- Oh 51 over H&M Notoriously Beautiful

Hello everyone!

Nfu- Oh 51 over H&M Notoriously Beautiful

Today I want to show you one of my favorite nail polishes; Nfu- Oh 51. You might have seen it earlier on my blog, but only briefly. This time I chose to layer it over a dark blue H&M cream to hide my nail line, because Nfu- Oh is a jelly. And to use less of the Nfu- Oh. When I wear it alone I use about 4 coats (if I remember correctly). You might also have seen the dark blue cream called H&M Notoriously Beautiful in the same post, (where I tried to get the look of Deborah Lippmann "Ray of Light". To see it, click here.)

Nfu- Oh #51 is a purple/ blue jelly with flakies and micro glitter/ shimmer that shift from green to orange to red. It is very transparent, so the base color will change according to the color you chose to layer it over. It is also very beautiful on its own, but as mentioned, it takes many coats to make it opaque.

On these photos you see 1 coat of Nfu- Oh 51 over 2 coats of H&M Notoriously Beautiful. There is an extra coat of #51 on my pinkie, because I had to repair a chipped area. I did not see a lot of difference until I saw the pictures. But when I look at my pinkie now, I see that the micro shimmer and flakies are much more dense, and see the base color of Nfu- Oh 51 better.

Below you can see the transformation that one coat of Nfu- Oh 51 makes! :-)

I am also wearing base- and top coat from Cult Nails. The base coat is called "Get It On", and the fast drying top coat is called "Wicked Fast".

The flakies and shimmer in Nfu- Oh 51 has a lot of color shift, but I think the camera has exaggerated it. I tried to take a photo of the green flakies and shimmer in the living room late at night, but it was not good.

If you wonder where you can buy Nfu- Oh, or which flakie you should buy, I have written about it earlier. You can read about it here.

Now I have showed what Nfu- Oh looks like over dark blue. I have some ideas about what I can layer it over later. But first I want to wear Nfu- Oh #56 (green with flakies).

    1. Thank you! Glad you liked it. I don't know why I don't wear Nfu- Oh #51 more often. It was fun to take pictures of it because it looks so good.

  3. I use a method for wearing for wearing these & other sheer polishes on their own that doesn't require 4 coats to obtain opacity.

I firstly use a ridge filling base coat (my personal preference is the Essie one) and then 2 coats of the sheer polish is all I need followed by a top coat.

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you too :)
