Sat- ART- Day Club: Hallowe'en

Hello everyone!

This is the first time I'm participating in a Sat- ART- Day Club Challenge. We get one theme every Saturday. For Hallowe'en I made this skittles mani, with a smiling ghost, a black cat glitter french, a mummy, dripping blood, and stripes of blood. You can see all the other participants Hallowe'en manicures at the bottom of the post.

Go Pink Wednesday- OPI Heart Throb and subtle stamping

Hello everyone!

I made this for breast cancer awareness. The breast cancer ribbon is pink. October is the international breast cancer awareness month, and this is the first time I participate in making a pink mani for breast cancer awareness. I was about to write "better late than never", but with breast cancer it's the opposite... If it's one thing I've learned, it's the importance of detecting cancer early.

I'm very glad that I got this opportunity to join  a lot of bloggers in making pink manis for breast cancer awareness. This group is posting pink manicures every Wednesday in October. Go Pink Wednesday is organized by Andrea from the blog Finger Painting Fingers. You can find more information about "Go Pink Wednesday" if you click on the badge below. Thank you Andrea for explaining everything so well!

My entry to "Purple Glitters: Giveaway time with a twist"

Hello everyone!

The challenge in this nail art competition is to make something that Mateja from Purple Glitters would like to wear, something that describes her, something that is her style or her color. If you want to participate, you still have time. The deadline is 25th October 2012 at midnight. You can find more information about the challenge here. This is what I created for this challenge.

Layering: OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest+ Nfu- Oh 51+ ORLY Sunglasses at Night

Hello everyone!

(If the photos appear to be too far to the right, please use Google Chrome!)

Layering: OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest+ Nfu- Oh 51+ ORLY Sunglasses at Night

You have probably seen Oktoberfest everywhere, but here it's peeking through ORLY Sunglasses at Night and Nfu- Oh 51. I had planned to wear Oktoberfest on its own, but got some bubbles, and had thought about combining it with Nfu- Oh #51 since the first time I heard about it. I had expected Nfu- Oh 51 to look purple over Oktoberfest, and was a little sad because it didn't. I wanted to try my new Orly bar glitter, and liked it much better. What do you think?

Polish Me Happy aka World Mental Health Day

Hello everyone!

As I'm writing this it's 10th October. This year World Mental Health Day will focus on depression as a global crisis. I try not to focus on sad things on this blog, but mental illnesses are such an important thing to be aware of, and to know how to handle. I made this manicure to help raise awareness about depression, and to give a hug to all of you who need it. I will also give you some links to what Scrangie and others have written about depression (in a much better way than I would be able to).
