52 Week PICK N MIX Challenge - Grey & colour - freehand nail art

Hello everyone!

This was made just a few hours before the deadline. I started with grey nails, and made a grey - pink gradient with grey, white and pink nail polish. The flowers were painted with acrylic craft paint, one angled brush and one round brush. I had just seen this tutorial, so although my nail art doesn't look like that, Cutenails/ Tartofraises is the one who inspired me. And this nail art made by ALPS Nail Art, so that's why I used these colors.

Products used:

Duri Rejuvacote
Inglot: #671
OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
GOSH: #598 Bubble Gum
Sponge
Angled brush
Round brush
Acrylic craft paint from Panduro:
Rose
Titanium White
Lamp Black
Seche Vite

Inglot: 671

I used 2 coats of Inglot: 671, but I would have used 3 if I wasn't going to make a gradient. The lovely purple shimmer that I see in the bottle doesn't show on the nail, but I think it's a pretty grey color.

Inglot is not tested on animals, and it's as close to being vegan as possible; The kind man in the Inglot store explained that they use products like bee wax, and real hair in some of the brushes they sell, but that they also have animal free alternatives. So although no animals are killed to make Inglot products, they are not vegan, if I understood it correctly. :-)

BB's Autumn Challenge: RED - Eldad's Lucky Leash Nail Art - Eldad Hagar's dog rescue videos - www.hopeforpaws.org

Hello everyone!

The inspiration for these nails are Eldad Hagar's dog rescue videos on YouTube. When he rescues dogs, he uses a red leash; Eldad's Lucky Leash, and I hope my nails remind you of it. ♥ I've selected a few of Eldad's amazing videos for you. So make yourself comfortable and make sure to have some tissues available, press play, and see how Eldad manage to get close to these traumatised dogs and make them trust him enough to change their lives. I hope you'll enjoy these videos! ♥

If you're interested in the nail art, feel free to scroll down after this sneak peek.

Here is a dog rescue video made by Eldad Hagar:

And here is one more:

This is the organization he links to in the video: HopeForPaws.org. It rescues dogs and other animals who are suffering. Hope for Paws is created by Audrey and Eldad Hagar.

And here is one more video made by Eldad Hagar:

How can anyone abandon their dog when they move? It's good to know that people like Eldad Hagar can come and rescue them, and to see how much better their lives get.

And here is one more video with a happy ending:

There's a very cute video for you at the end of the post.

Sadly, this rescue work doesn't get government funding, and I don't expect any of my readers to support rescue workers. But if you know someone who could give them a million or billion without ruining anyone's life, please show them these videos! Or if you share a video, and it gets shared and shared, and shared, you might help raise money and help more dogs. Or the video you share will reach a person who can give a dog a forever home.

So feel free to share his videos and anything from this blog post; videos, photos, or my blog post! :-)

If you want to take a look at Eldad's Lucky Leash to compare to my nail art, click here.

If you want to try this, please be careful, and watch this first: Stray dog rescue - step by step. And if cheeseburgers are not accessible or very expensive where you live, just use what you have. Tiny peaces of dried liver could be an option. Dried pig ears also seem to be tempting...

This photo looked better after photoshop, didn't it?

Same as the first photo, no photoshop

No, the dog was not made when I was a child...

I did both hands for once, which felt good. But it was a challenge to photograph all fingers without a tripod. Yes, I'm holding the camera with my knees! LOL! :-)

The nail art:

I've been thinking about this nail art for months, ever since I saw the first video. I made this when Red was the theme for the Blogger Bragger's Autumn Nail Art Challenge. I hope my nails remind you of Eldad's Lucky Leash; a red leash with yellow hibiscus flowers, small blue flowers (Forget me Not?) and green leafs. I didn't have this kind of orange- red, but luckily I found a similar red on vacation. And when MoYou London released their Tropical stamping plates in August, I knew I had what I needed to make this.

I just painted my nails red and stamped the flowers and leafs on.

Products used:

Red polish - OPI: Cajun Shrimp
Stamping plates:
MoYou London: Tropical collection 02
Konad m77
Stamping polish:
Mundo de Uñas: 5 Turquoise, 11 Yellow, 25 Pastel Pink, 48 Military Green
Top coat: Seche Vite

and clay to make the dog

OPI: Cajun Shrimp is nearly a one coater, and a dream to work with. Sadly the red looks a little too orange on some photos.

If you buy Eldad's Lucky Leash, you can take a photo of your dog with the leash, and post it on Flickr.

Please help Eldad Hagar by sharing his videos!

Easy way to share a video:

My nails are on Random Nail Art!!!

Hello everyone!

Random Nail Art

I just wanted to tell you that my nails are on Random Nail Art! I was very happy when I got invited to share my nail art on Random Nail Art, (and even happier when I got more views). That's why there's a new button on the right side on my blog, that looks like the one above. Have you seen it?

If you want to discover new nail art or new nail art blogs, just click on the button, and click on the next purple button. If you want to see nail art by another blogger, just click on the purple button on top of that page, and a different blogger's nail art will appear, and click again for a different bloggers nail art, and so on. It's nice if you just want to relax and look at nail art.

Random Nail Art is a new site for nail art only. I've been told that we already are about 100 bloggers from all over the world, who have shared links to an enormous amount of nail art. If you're curious about which bloggers are participating, just click on the button above, and you'll find "The Random Nail Art Blogger Community" in the menu. Click on it to find thumbnails with links to our blogs. Or click here.

I don't know how The Sparkle Queen got this amazing idea to make a site where she not only adds links to different bloggers' nail art, but makes it possible for the nail art posts to be in rotation. This is what she wrote after we reached 5000 unique nail art posts! Yes 5000!!!

If you want to find out more about this site and how it works, just click on the large button to get started.

♥ Thank you Sparkle Queen for letting me be a part of this community! ♥

52 Week PICK N MIX Challenge - PINK - Skittlette with purple studs, 2 versions

Hello everyone!

It's week 2 in the 52 Week PICK N MIX Challenge, and today I want to show you this pink and blue/ purple nail art that I made this summer. With the garden full of mostly blue and pink flowers, I wanted to make something with these square studs that KKCenterHk sent me all the way from Hong Kong last year. It feels special to write about something that came from Hong Kong after seeing the news about the demonstrations this week. I hope it will end peacefully and democratic.

I tried to stamp this design from Cheeky Jumboplate 10 on all my nails, but it was too difficult to line it up correctly. So I ended up with a skittlette for once. I made one version with studs in the center of the stamped image, and later I added studs to the pinkie and index finger as well.

Again I used a polish from China Glaze's Romantique collection for the stamping. This time I used Admire. I liked this pink metallic on it's own too. I wonder how Mundo de Unas' metallic stamping collection is compared to the Romantique collection.

The studs:

Last time I tried to use these studs, I learned the hard way that I shouldn't drag them in place. Just put some top coat where you want your stud, and dip a dotting tool in it, so that it's easier to pick up the studs. Then try to place it exactly where you want it, and press down gently, and apply top coat.

The bag contains about 50 studs. The size is 3mm, and they consist of circular areas that shine in different shades of purple. They are a little pyramid shaped, and that make them stick better.

When I removed this with acetone, I noticed that the studs turned silver, but they kept their shape. So if you wonder if these can be used again, I would say yes, but as silver studs.

Products used:

Duri Rejuvacote (base coat)
Gina Tricot Beauty Nails: #139 Purple Mint (purple)
China Glaze: Admire (pink) -used for stamping and on the index finger
Cheeky Jumboplate 10
N.NAIL Studs Square Laser Purple 3mm Nail Art Decorations NNAIL- DRN656 (purple studs)
Seche Vite (top coat)

Here you can compare the two versions:

Thank you KKCenterHk for giving me these beautiful studs! ♥

October is breast cancer awareness month, so I hope to wear pink again this month. I'll let the cute men in the video show you how to check your breasts, and an app to remind you to do it.

Press PLAY and learn! LOL
